Silimed 30 years

The year of 2008 is a landmark for Silimed.

Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the company consolidates a phase of successful operations that are particularly impressive when we consider that they took place in a period of profound changes, fantastic discoveries and fundamental growth for the organization. A project was conceived involving employees and collaborators as a way of acknowledging their collaboration in the growth of the company over these three decades, with the 19 August 2008 being the date chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the company.

The event began at 10 am with the playing of the National Anthem, which was followed by a speech by our Vice-President. Then the President underlined the importance of the employees who have been with the company since the very beginning. This was followed by an address made by the Member of the Board, who was so moved that she could hardly speak, recalling the whole trajectory of struggles and victories in her life up to the present.

The second part of the event featured an ecumenical service with several religious leaders. Many doctors who have worked with Silimed since it was founded attended the ceremony, as well as some representatives. The celebration came to a close with a visit to the exhibit “30 Years of Silimed” in the Center for Human Development – CDH – Antônio Figueiredo.
